Biography

Welcome! This is my first year at Superstition and my first year teaching in Arizona. I earned a Bachelor's of Science in Natural Science/Chemistry, Secondary Education from Missouri Western State University in 2003. For the first two years I taught in a small rural school, and then switched to a larger suburban district for the next eleven years. I have experience teaching 7th and 8th grade science, Physical science, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Environmental science, and Dual Credit Chemistry. In addition to my Unified Science certification in Missouri, I am also highly qualified to teach Chemistry and General Science in Arizona. I look forward to meeting you in my classroom here at Superstition.

Personal note: My husband and I moved here in May 2016 along with Einstein, our 11 year old Bichon poodle. Our son and two daughters are married and have families of their own. We enjoy our precious grandchildren, five boys and two girls. We're incredibly grateful for technology to bridge the distance because they live in the Midwest. We enjoy traveling and last fall during a trip to Hawaii we had the thrill of watching lava flow from the volcano into the ocean. I love baseball, and am an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan. I cheer for the Kansas City Royals (the other Missouri MLB team), and the Arizona Diamondbacks, as long as they're not up against my Redbirds!
