Hello, my name is Mike Hopaczylo (Hope-a-chello) and I am the counselor/advisor here at Superstition High School. This is my fourth year at Superstition and I am very excited to be here. I bring to Superstition over 20 years of counseling and student development experience both at the High School and College/University level. Most recently I was the Counseling Department Chair at Higley High School; where I worked for seven years. Prior to Higley I worked at the East Valley Institute of Technology (EVIT).
At the College level I worked at California Polytechnic State University (Cal-Poly SLO), Fort Lewis College, and Western New Mexico University. My goal is to help bring awareness to our students about the many opportunities that are out there for them.
I graduated from Apache Junction High School, and have lived in the East Valley for a number of years. I am married and have a son and a dog and a bunch of fish.
Please feel free to contact me with questions and concerns.
