Mrs. Piraino

I am a Chicago native and devoted Bears/Cubs/Bulls fan. After spending my whole life in freezing winters, my family and I decided to take the plunge and move to a warmer climate. My husband, two sons, and I are very proud of our Italian heritage. In fact, we speak the language at home. I love to cook Italian food, too. My husband is a native of Rome, and we often return to visit family.

I have been in Arizona since 2010, where I have worked as the Principal for Taylor Junior High. Prior to that, I was Assistant Principal for one year and Principal for three years at Blackhawk Middle School in the Chicago suburb of Bensenville. My teaching background began in Chicago Public Schools, where I taught special education at Roberto Clemente High School.

When I am not working, I enjoy spending time outdoors with my family and our dog, Buster. Reading and cooking are my hobbies.

I love working at Taylor and for Mesa Public schools. Nothing makes me happier than seeing a great school become even greater. That’s my goal for Taylor.
