Hello! I am Ms. Bishop, and I am a resource teacher for ELA writing and study skills, an inclusion teacher, and a service facilitator. This is my second year with Taylor Junior High.
I am an Arizona native from an Oklahoman family, and primarily grew up in Northern Arizona. I have attended Mesa Community College, Rio Salado College, and I am an Alumni with distinction from Arizona State University – GO DEVILS! I have a Bachelor’s Degree in English Literature with an Art History Minor, as well as membership in Golden Key, Sigma Alpha Lambda ΣΑΛ, and Phi Theta Kappa ΦΘΚ Honors Societies. I also have a teaching certification in Special Education.
I love to study literature, language, culture, history, poetry, theater, and art. I have a passion to teach as well as a passion to learn, and I love to instill this passion in my students. I believe education should be rigorous and exciting, and I have a strong desire to lead my students to a successful and bright future. I am very proud to work at Taylor Junior High, as well as for an AVID and PBIS school that has a strong desire for students to succeed. I look forward to an exciting 2017-2018 school year!
