Biography

I am extremely happy to be continuing to be part of the Taylor Junior High Family. This will be my 7th year of teaching and my second year at Taylor Junior High. I began and spent the my first 5 years of teaching in Coolidge, AZ. I taught 6th grade math for all five years. During my five years I was the Team Leader for 3 years, a co-sponsor for the middle school student council, and part of the Academic Task force for 4 years. With each passing year, I want to have growth and evolution in my teaching techniques and style.

Coaching has been a large passion of mine and is part of the reason I became a teacher. I coached the middle school Flag football team and middle school soccer teams to multiple state playoff births. I also coached the middle school and varsity softball teams as well. I continued my coaching career at Taylor last year coaching both the 7th grade softball and football team.

Educational Background:

  • Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education
  • Middle School Endorsement in Math.

I am an Arizona native and grew up in the town of Thatcher, a small rural town in the south eastern part of the state. I have lived in Gilbert for the past 11 years. I enjoy the outdoors, playing sports, reading and occasionally playing a video game or two. I am a kid at heart and it shows in my style of teaching.
