Salutations.....Salu what?...Salutations...What is that and who are you? Salutations are my fancy way of saying, "Hello." For those of you who don't know me, I LOVE to quote movies!

Apparently, I am supposed to tell you a little about myself. So...I graduated with distinction from the University of Nevada, Reno, with dual credentials in Elementary and Special Education. THEN...I went on to receive my Master of Arts in Education focusing on Administration and Supervision from the University of Phoenix, Reno Campus. AGAIN, graduating top of my class! FINALLY, I recently completed my graduate work from Northcentral University earning a Ph.D in Psychology with an emphasis on Health Psychology and Behavioral Medicine. As you probably guessed...Cum Laude. Crazy, right? In addition to my academic endeavors, I managed to successfully become a Nationally Board Certified Teacher earning the distinguished title, Exceptional Needs Specialist. Needless to say,

I have been teaching for the past 18 years at both the Middle School and High School levels. Currently, I am teaching three sections of Resource Mathematics and Co-Teaching both ELA and Mathematics classes. In pursuit of additional leadership responsibilities, I also took on the role of Special Education Co-Department Chair. Sheesh!

Extra-curricular-wise, I am a Mentor Teacher at Grand Canyon University, serve on the Board of Directors for Sharing Down Syndrome Arizona, a member of NBCT Network Board of Directors and serve on the Department of Developmental Disabilities Human Rights Committee for the State of Arizona. In my spare time (haha!), I enjoy spending time with my husband, Scott, and our six amazing children. We enjoy traveling, camping, quading, motorcycles and boating. Glamis and Barlett are our "family favorites."

I am excited to be working with the esteemed Taylor Junior High School staff and look forward to a great 2018/2019 school year!
