Dr. Estes, Director of Federal Grants email.
Hello, my name is Patricia Estes and I am honored to be part of educating the children that attend Mesa Public Schools!
Transplanted from Ohio in the early seventies, I attended Mesa Junior and Mesa High School. At Arizona State University, I received my bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. My first teaching assignment was at Pomeroy Elementary School, as it opened its doors in 1979. During the ensuing years, I taught a variety of grade levels from kindergarten to 8th grade. I continued my professional education by completing a Masters Degree in Elementary Education and a Doctorate in Educational Supervision and Leadership. Along the way, my husband and I raised three incredible daughters, who have blessed us with ten grandchildren!
I was the principal at Eisenhower Elementary School for eight years and in 2008 I moved to Brinton Elementary School where I served until 2017. During my last year as principal at Brinton, I was proud to have Brinton recognized as an A+ School of Excellence, by the Arizona Education Foundation, and to be rated an A School by the Arizona Department of Education. In 2017, I was appointed the Director of Title I & School Improvement Department for MPS. I am now working, on a district level, to support principals and teachers to help our students reach their full potential and to be college and career ready.
