 Biography

Hello, I'm Carol Glazier, Specific Learning Disabilities Resource Room teacher at Whittier Elementary I am working full-time at Whittier Elementary and looking forward to an awesome 2015-2016 school year!!

I grew up in the Midwest, Cincinnati, Ohio and moved away after graduate school in 1979. I received my bachelor's degree in Community Health Services in 1974, my Master of Education in Special Education degree in 1978 and ESL Endorsement in 2003.

I have lived and taught in Birmingham, Alabama and Burlington, Vermont, for a total of twelve years. When I first moved to Arizona in 2001,  I taught in Scottsdale for 2 years and then began teaching at Booker T. Washington, as a full-time resource room teacher for thirteen years and the last 2 years at Whittier.  I am very grateful for having lived in various parts of the country and believe this has made me a better teacher. My daughter Lauren is 32 years old and married. My son Benjamin, 27 years old attends college and currently lives with me. My interests include knitting, golfing, listening to music, watching sports events and spending time with family.

I love teaching special education and can't imagine doing anything else. I look forward to this new school year,  watching our students gain the skills they will need throughout life. I strongly believe all my students are capable of learning and succeeding in both their general education classroom and resource room.

If you ever have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me at Whittier and I will return your call as soon as possible.
