Biography

I have been a part of the Washington scenery for 12 years.  My daughter attended school here from Kindergarten through 6th grade.  I was actively involved in the PTA as Secretary, Vice President and President for 7 years.  I chaired the Fall Festival for 6 of those years.

This will be my 6th year at Washington.  I was an instructional aide in 5th grade and Reading Intervention as well as an office aide my first year here.

I couldn't have created a  job for myself that would suit me better than the one I now have!  I love everything about working in the Media Center.  From books and the love of reading to making the bulletin boards, to working with children....this is the job for me!  There is constantly something to do and I am never bored.  Not only that, but I get to work with some of the best, most dedicated and creative people you will ever meet!

To add to the excitement, I recently completed 3 years of classes to get my Advanced Library Technician Certificate as well as my School Media Library Technician Certificate.  I am also the webmaster for Washington Elementary's main web page.  While it keeps me on my toes, I love the creativity that I can apply to our website!

I am a 3rd generation Arizonan with a love for this state that is unsurpassed.  I have been married for 20 years and have a 16 year old daughter who will be a junior at Dobson High School.   Just ask me...I have a brag sheet about them a mile long!
