Miss Christa Bitner

I am the intermediate autism teacher. I am so excited to be here! I am a Mesa District native. I went to Booker T. Washington Elementary, Rhodes Jr. High, and Dobson High school. I then played college soccer at Seattle Pacific and went to the NCAA Final 4 in 2007. Unfortunately, I had a career ending injury, so I came back home to Arizona to finish my education at Northern Arizona University. I received my Bachelors in both Elementary and Special Education with honors. I also received my Masters in Education: Emphasis in Higher Ed/Community College Education at Northern Arizona University. I was a member of the Golden Key Honor Society for both degrees. Currently, I am pursuing my doctoral degree in special education at Grand Canyon University.

I worked through this district for 2 years (2010-2012) as an Adaptive Physical Education assistant, and I loved every minute of it! I even completed my student teaching here at Webster in the primary autism classroom and fell in love with the school, students, and staff. After completing my undergraduate degree, I worked at Highland Elementary spring of 2013 in the Mild Intellectual classroom. A position opened up in Webster's intermediate autism room and have had the pleasure of being a teacher at Webster since Fall of 2013.

I am a firm believer that Webster, my co-workers, and most importantly, my students are the best!!

In my free time, I enjoy backpacking, hiking, travel, hunting, anything involving sports & the outdoors, and hanging out with my two cats (Minion and Henri).

Thank you from students
