Hello. I am so happy to be here at Webster Elementary School. I have been teaching at the elementary level since 2000. Before that, I taught in the Head Start program for 15 years, so I have a strong early childhood background and really enjoy teaching the elementary grades. I received my Bachelor's degree in Education at Ottawa University, and my Masters of Teaching at Grand Canyon University. Soon after, I completed my ESL endorsement through Rio Salado College.
I taught first grade after graduating and am very happy to be teaching kindergarten now. I am looking forward to the new group of kindergarteners coming in to room 9.
I grew up in southern New Jersey, and have also lived in Texas. I love Arizona. I especially love to hike in the mountains.
I like traveling around the United States. I especially liked visiting New York City and Seattle, Washington.
I enjoy reading, gardening, playing the flute, and hanging out with my pets (cats, dog, and tortoises).
I enjoy teaching because it allows me to be creative. I know that the students can learn if they try hard, do their homework and listen well in the classroom. I think learning can be fun no matter what the subject, and that when students work together they can learn from one another.
I plan on us having a great school year in Room 9!
