Employee wellness incentive plan is suspended for the 2017-18 school year.

The employee wellness incentive plan will not be implemented in the 2017-18 school year, providing time to refine the elements of the program and improve communication of the requirements. Here's how this change will impact participants in the district's benefits program in the 2017-18 plan year.

  • Members of a high-deductible plan will receive the full HSA amount ($1,500 or $1,000 depending on the plan), whether or not they earn 100 points by Aug. 31, 2017.
  • Members of the OAP plan in 2016-17 who earn 100 points by Aug. 31, 2017, and remain on the OAP plan in 2017-18 will receive a $200 premium deduction.
    • Employees who aren't members of the OAP plan in 2016-17 are not eligible for the $200 premium deduction in 2017-18.
    • Employees who are members of the OAP plan in 2016-17 and who don't earn 100 points by Aug. 31, 2017, are not eligible for the $200 premium deduction in 2017-18.

Offering a benefits wellness incentive is important to promoting a healthy lifestyle. The district will implement an improved employee wellness incentive plan in the future.
