Bowman Named Teacher Of The Year

Westwood's own John-David Bowman has been named the 2015 Arizona Teacher of the Year by the Arizona Educational Foundation.

The Westwood High School history teacher and IB teacher will receive a trip to the White House to compete for National Teacher of the Year, a trip to Space Camp in Alabama, a scholarship for an advanced degree, a $15,000 cash reward and much more. Lucky Westwood students will also get to celebrate with a school-wide ice cream party, thanks to Blue Bell Creameries. Mr. Bowman was interviewed by ABC 15. Click here to view the video. Audit Appeal Deadline Approaching

A student who obtains 10 or more absences in any class may be in danger of losing credit for their class/classes. To fill out an excessive absence appeal form please click here. Westwood Selected as an Arizona Civic Engagement School

Westwood High School was recently selected as an Arizona Civic Engagement school for 2014.  Westwood was one of only nine schools in the state to earn the recognition of School of Distinction.

The Arizona Civic Engagement School recognition signifies that Westwood High School is a leader in high quality civic learning practices.  Westwood students graduate with the knowledge, skills and dispositions necessary to participate in, preserve, and strengthen our schools, communities and system of government.
