Attention Students!
The bookstore will stop selling cheap dance tickets today at 1:00 pm. Tickets are $10 at the door, and all debts must be paid prior to purchasing tickets.

Congratulations to the Westwood Air Force JROTC Orienteering team that competed this past weekend in Prescott against 12 other high schools. The team of Tanis Parker and Aileen Abdullah took home 1st place in the co-ed division and the team of Kayli Walker and Renee May took home 2nd place in the female division. Way to go Westwood JROTC Warriors!!!

Latino Club members, make sure to attend the Latino Club meeting after school on Monday, Sept. 22 in room 53. New members are always welcome.

Did you miss picture day? Are you having second thoughts about your fashion choices? Don't worry because you have a second chance next week. Picture retakes will be on Friday September 26th in the auditorium lobby during both A and B lunches.

Congrats to the badminton team for winning three matches in a row. Varsity beat Saguaro 9-0 only giving up 6 games out 90! JV won a close one of 5-4. Awesome job ladies!!

Beast Mode Caleb has nothing on beast Mode Aitzya Alvarez. She crushed the top rated player in state from Xavier Academy in only two two sets, 11-9 and 11-6. Way to go Aitzya!! Another exciting match was our #1 doubles team of Aitzya and Hayden Jones. Together, they beat the #1 rated badminton team in the state, also from Xavier. Beating them 15-8, 13-15, 15-13. Keep up the awesomeness ladies!!

Congratulations to Nicole Lucero for being chosen as the Sunrise Rotary Student of the Month for September. Nicole demonstrates her true Warrior Pride in all she does. She is a leader in the classroom, the Native American Community, and within the city of Mesa. Tell Nicole congratulations for the awesome job she does in representing Westwood High School.

I'm gonna pop some tags, only got $20 in my pocket... come thrift shop with your fellow westwood warriors on September 27 7am-12pm at the westwood rummage sale located in the front office parking, please feel free to donate any items to student council in room 103!

The PSAT or Preliminary SAT is right around the corner. The PSAT will be Wednesday, October 15th at Westwood and the cost is only $20. Please pay in the bookstore by September 24th.

Greetings from Earth! Please join us each Thursday after school in room 206 to work on Westwood's environmental awareness campaigns and projects. New members are always welcome. Go orange, blue and GREEN!

Our next GSA (previously known as Spark club) meeting will be Wednesday in room 200 from 3:15 to 4:00. Meetings will be every Wednesday so please join us!

Come join Hands Up Sign Language Club to learn about deaf culture and learn American Sign Language! We meet every Tuesday at 3:05 in room 312. New members are always welcome!

Administration, Faculty, staff and students: Girls badminton will host its annual "smashathon" on Friday Sept. 26 from 2-6 in the Westwood gym. Challenge any badminton player in a match. Bring a buck and try to defeat a badminton player. This is a lot of fun for the team so come support the amazing 2014 badminton team.
