Attention Interpreters Club Members there is an important meeting this Tuesday in room P-67 after school. There is an important service Learning assignment the week after October Break. Please be in attendance or communicate with club officers please. Thank you for what you do.

Hey Warriors, when was the last time you spent a quarter and changed a life? Well now's your chance! Silent Friends is holding the quarter per quarter challenge this week. You will see orange and blue bottles in your academic building classrooms and by giving just one quarter, you have the opportunity to make a significant impact on Westwood students and community. The challenge ends this Friday and the classroom with the most quarters will receive a special thank you gift. So check your pockets for loose change and drop it in your favorite classroom container and help Silent Friends change lives for the better!

If you signed up or wish to volunteer on the publicity committee then we are having our first meeting today right after school in room 103. It's homecoming season and there's lots to do!

Clubs this upcoming Wednesday October 1st is the Interclub council meeting. Have a representative from each club attend remember these meetings are mandatory.

Book Club will have a short meeting on Thursday, Oct. 2nd to discuss homecoming parade.

For the safety of all students and staff, please do not ride skateboards, scooters or bikes on campus. They will be confiscated and discipline action may be taken on those who consistently do it. Thank you for your help with this.

Juniors and Sophomores: The PSAT is right around the corner and seats are filling up. You need to sign up now in the bookstore. You do not want to miss this opportunity to get ready for the SAT. Juniors are entered into the National Merit Scholarship Competition and this year Westwood had just as many Nation Merit Semi-Finalists as the rest of Mesa Schools Combined.
The PSAT will be Wednesday, October 15th at Westwood and the cost is only $20. The deadline to pay has been extended to Thursday, October 2nd.

Hello Warriors! Our College and Career week has begun!
We will be having 2 competitions in 4th hour classes.
1. Door decoration- Pick a college to promote and decorate your classroom door. All doors will be judged by WW administration!
2. College Gear- 4th hour teachers will tally up the number of students wearing college or military gear Mon-Thurs!
THE WINNING 4th hour classes will be treated to a Jason's Deli lunch party!!!
**Tues - Thursday there will be a college fair in the courtyard during both lunches. This is a great opportunity for you to meet college reps and career professionals!

Hey Warriors! Are you going to be volunteering over October Break? Make sure you get your project pre-approved through Mrs. Murphy in room 404 BEFORE break - otherwise, we will not be able to count your hours. Forms are outside her door. She is available before school, after school and during B lunch - please don't come during class time. Thank you!

Come join Hands Up Sign Language Club to learn American Sign Language and learn about deaf culture! We meet on Tuesdays at 3:05 in room 312. New members are always welcome!

Student council will be selling spirit links Mondays, Wednesday's, and Fridays in your first hour classes for 10¢! The competition will be Upperclassmen Vs. Underclassmen for Natani points as well as a competition for whichever classroom buys the most links! Winner of the classroom competition will be receiving a tasty prize, so save up that pocket change!
