Mesa Public Schools launched a new app for iPhone and Android devices on January 22. The app brings district and school information to parents' fingertips, and makes communication a snap.
Special features allow parents to customize the information they receive from their child's school. They are able to access accounts, call in a child's absence, stay afloat with district and school news, and link the school calendar to their personal calendar. District social media is quickly accessible with instant convenience to Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and Instagram pages. One touch and a parent can stay up-to-date with all of the district happenings.
The Mesa Public Schools' app is available for free download through Google Play for Android users and the App Store for iPhone/iPad users.
Dear Westwood Students and Parents,
Today we started the Course Request Distribution process for enrollment in the 2015-2016 school year. Your student will be receiving a copy of their graduation profile, a course request catalog and the elective course offerings for Westwood High School. We ask that you take a moment to review these documents with your student and sign off on their course request form prior to their assigned return date. Student Advisors and teachers will be working with the students to assist with review of graduation requirements and course pathways.
Forms will be collected through Student Advising according to the following schedule:
11th to 12th Grade – Monday January 26th and Tuesday January 27th
10th to 11th Grade – Wednesday January 28th and Thursday January 29th
9th to 10th Grade – Friday January 30th, Monday February 2nd and Tuesday February 3rd
Thank you for your support in this important process,
Westwood Student Advising Department
Students will report to their current (fall semester) 1st hour class upon return on January 5, 2015. They will be given a print out of their most updated spring semester schedule on colored paper. Students will then be permitted to follow their spring semester schedule. Teachers will check each hour for the updated colored schedule to insure students are in appropriately scheduled classes.
At Westwood High School we know that the Internet plays an important role in your child's education, and that it can be a great resource for you as a parent.
That's why we want to make sure you know about a program called Connect2Compete.
