I currently teach Honors, AP, and IB (SL/HL) Biology. You can find a course description and link to the Canvas course on the course pages to the left.

This is my seventh year teaching at Westwood and my eighth year teaching in Mesa Public Schools.  I come from a family of teachers--my husband and my mom teach here at Westwood with me and my dad teaches at Carson.  I grew up in the Scottsdale School District and graduated from Chaparral High School.  Wanting a change of scenery, I moved to Flagstaff to attend Northern Arizona University, where I studied Secondary English Education with a minor in Biology.  I then spent a year teaching in Scottsdale.  Despite the fact that I grew up in Scottsdale, my first time in front of  a class was in Mesa (before I was even born!) and I loved it so much I decided to return.  I spent a year teaching Biology as a mustang at Dobson before finding my warrior spirit and making my way to Westwood, where I found my home!  After three years of teaching English here, I decided I missed the science classroom and switched back to Biology.

Outside of school, I spend most of my time running around and reading books with my one-year-old daughter.  I also enjoy training and teaching martial arts, playing Dungeons and Dragons, reading, watching Disney, and cuddling with my dog (Lando) and my cat (Bast).
