I grew up in Glendora, California and attended Glendora High School (Go Tartans!). Upon graduation from high school I attended Mohave Community College for one year in Lake Havasu City. I then transferred to Northern Arizona University to pursue a Bachelors Degree in Education History/Social Studies.
I am married and have two kids Dylan (attends MCC and an Arizona State FFA Officer) and Hailey (a Junior) who attends a public high school in the east valley. On any given weekend you can find us showing their animals at a livestock show. We have a pig, goat, and lamb that they care for and love. It is through the Future Farmers of America program that they have found that intrinsic motivation to learn!
I am currently in my candidate phase on my doctoral degree through Arizona State University where I find Personalized Learning amongst teams of educators in the secondary setting very fascinating. I truely believe that education is a lifetime process and throughout your career new interests and topics should be explored to its fullest.
I am blessed to be in my third year as principal at Westwood High School. I love the diversity of students, committment of the community, and the support of the school board for our school. We have THE best staff that bring their best game to the school every day. I truely believe Westwood High School is developing your child for the 21st century!
