Biography
I was born and raised in Nogales, Arizona, a border culture community that is joined with its sister city, Nogales, Sonora, in Mexico. I was brought up with our much cherished traditions and values. My culture is a way of life, which includes the language, religion, traditions, values, music and food I eat. How I relate to others, how I think, how I behave, and how I view the world has been influenced by mi familia.
I attended the University of Arizona and received my Bachelors of Arts in Social Sciences with a minor in Psychology. After graduating from the U of A, I went back home and was an Elementary School Counselor. The following year, I attended Arizona State University and received my Master's in Counseling in 2004.
I have been a School Counselor for sixteen years! I have worked at Salk Elementary, Kerr Elementary, Carson Jr. High, and Dobson High. This is my tenth year at Westwood High!
On my time off I enjoy my family, dancing, and coaching.
I am excited to be part of the WARRIOR family and looking forward to working with student's last names HE- LOP!
Haz bien y no mires a quien.
