I was born and raised in Mesa, AZ where I graduated from Mountain View. I am married with 2 children (girl; Channa & boy; Kolton) with 2 grand boys that live in Show Low, AZ that love the mountains and to Rodeo for fun.
I started teaching Physical Education 17 years ago for Sequoia Charter School in Show Low, AZ. After my 2 kids graduated from High School in 2011, I moved to Mesa and started teaching PE/Dance and helping in the SPED Department for Sequoia Secondary School. In 2013, I finished my dual degree in Elementary Education and Special Education from Grand Canyon University. In 2016, I started working for Salt River High School as a SPED Teacher for 11th and 12th Grade students. Also, I was the Student Council and Senior Class Advisor there until 2020 when the school was shut down.
I am so excited and honored to be able to teach at Westwood High School where I hope to see some of the SRHS students and make new connections with WW students and staff. I know this year is going to be challenging but amazing; WE ARE ALL IN THIS TOGETHER!
