I have been teaching in the Mesa District for 11 years. This is my fifth year teaching American Government at Westwood High School and my first year as Department Chair of the Social Studies Department. I am also one of the Senior AVID teachers. In addition to teaching at Westwood, I also coach Varsity Girls Basketball. I graduated from Arizona State University with a Bachelors of Science in Economics in 2000. I received my post-baccaluarete secondary teaching certificate from University of Phoenix. I graduated from Northern Arizona Univeristy in May of 2009 with my Master's of Education with emphasis in the principal certificate.
I enjoy teaching because everyday and every class is different so it keeps me on my toes. When I am not teaching I enjoy spending time with my wife and two children.
