Mrs. Jacqueline K. Wood
Hello, I went to Chandler-Gilbert Community college for my Associates of Arts Degree. I attended Arizona State University and graduated with a Bachelors of Arts in Special Education and a minor in Spanish, in December of 1996. I am certified to teach LD (Learning Disabilities), ED (Emotional Disabilities), and MR (Mentally Challenged). I went to Northern Arizona University and graduated in May of 2002 with a Masters in Educational Leadership. I also have my endorsement in ESL(English as a Second Language) which I received in 2005. I have a reading endorsement and my Principal Certificate.
I have taught at Tempe Elementary School District, Gasconade County R-II School District in Owensville Missouri, Chandler Unified School District, Show-Low Unified School District, Murrieta-Valley Unified School District in California, Whiteriver Unified School District in Arizona (Indian Reservation), and Mesa Public Schools.
I am on my 14th year at Mesa Public Schools and my 24th year teaching in Special Education. I enjoyed working at Mesa High School-Jackrabbits for 8 years and I am a proud Warrior at Westwood now. I'm planning on retiring from Mesa Public Schools. Teaching Special Education is my calling. I never get tired of being around students and teaching them. It is my passion.
