This course integrates the principles of a survey of literature and composition. Course content combines the study and skill of effective writing for a variety of purposes. Writing exercises emphasize the writing process, research, critical and creative thinking, language skills and are based on literary models. Literature study introduces literary terminology, critical and analytical reading, and appreciation of literature.
