Biography

I have a Bachelor's Degree in Seconday Education Math with a Physics minor from Arizona State University. Additionally, I have a Master's Degree in Educational Technology from Arizona State University. This is my second year teaching at Westwood and my sixth year teaching overall. I am very passionate about math and physics.

I have also taught in the Phoenix Union High School District, Primavera, and Rio Salado College.

I love math and teaching, but I also love to play sports in my free time. My favorite sports to play currently are racquetball and bowling.

Course Description: The course is designed to explore mathematical concepts that include Inductive/Deductive Reasoning and their proofs, Perpendicularity/Parallelism, Triangle congruency and properties, and Polygons. The emphasis of this course will be placed on the conceptual understanding, problem solving, and practical applications of mathematical principles.

Course Description: This course is designed for students who have successfully completed Geometry with a C or better.  Geometric and algebraic concepts are extended and connected to topics in probability and statistics, trigonometry, and discrete mathematics.  There is a focus on the development of students’ abilities to reason both numerically and spatially, to communicate and solve problems employing a wide variety of approaches, technology, and disciplines.  The difficulty level of this course is above average.  Cell phones will only be used for academic purposes under teacher direction.
