Welcome to the Class Video

Hercules with a Mandrille

I was born July 13th in Tucson, Arizona.  I can't remember a time when I didn't want to draw or create things 3 dimensionally. I graduated from Catalina High School in 1983 in Tucson, AZ, received my Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Arizona in 1992, and recieved my Master's of Secondary Education from NAU in 2005. I have been teaching in Mesa Public Schools for 18 years now and I am highly qualified in Art education. I currently teach Beginning, Intermediate and Advanced Drawing and Beginning, Intermediate and Advanced Sculpture. I am the sponsor of the Westwood Murals and Mosaic Art Service Club, which provides the beautiful murals and art that is scattered across Westwood campus. I am happily married to Lauren, my wife of 33 years, and have six children and nine grandchildren. I enjoy the outdoors, seeing art where ever I travel, American classic cars, and 80's classic rock (the best kind of music). I look forward to continue teaching art here at Westwood this 2020-2021 school year.
