IB Mathematics Analysis
This course is designed to provide the opportunity to understand and appreciate both the practical use of mathematics and its aesthetic aspects. Through your work in this course you should develop mathematical intuition and understand how you can apply mathematics in real life. Students taking this course need to have extensive previous mathematical experience and knowledge of skills that are taught in Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II and Standard Level I. The emphasis of this course will be placed on the conceptual understanding, problem solving, and practical applications of mathematical principles.
Canvas is a course management system. We will use this to submit assignments, participate in online discussions and organize course content.
GeoGebra is an interactive geometry, algebra, statistics and calculus application, intended for learning and teaching mathematics and science from primary school to university level. GeoGebra is available on multiple platforms with its desktop applications for Windows, Mac OS and Linux, with its tablet apps for Android, iPad and Windows, and with its web application based on HTML5 technology.
Khan Academy is a non-profit educational organization created in 2006 by educator Salman Khan to provide "a free, world-class education for anyone, anywhere". Khan Academy has mini lectures in the form of videos and online resources that may be helpful to students.
