Educational Philosophy

I believe students should be provided with many opportunities to explore their world and to question what they see, hear, and read. My teaching goal is promote wonder and curiosity, initiate self-evaluation, and to accelerate personal academic growth.

Education: Raised in Idaho surrounded by the Teton Mountains I enjoyed the best of the Great Outdoors while I attained my elementary and high school education. I attended Ricks College, now BYU Idaho, where I was enrolled in the RN nursing program. After years of moving with military and job transfers my family landed in the Valley of the Sun. Here in the desert I completed my Bachelor Degree and then graduated with a Masters of Curriculum & Design from A.S.U. I earned an endorsement in Media and Library Science and then an endorsement in Gifted Education. I have taught in gifted and talented children for 13 years.
