Hello! My name is Jordan Cayatineto or "Miss C" as some students may call me. I am so thrilled to be working with you all in my class this year. I hope you are ready to learn a lot of new and exciting things. We will be using those brains of yours so keep them handy.

I was born in a little town called Fort Defiance in Northern Arizona on the Navajo Reservation. I have four older sisters and one older brother. I’m the baby of the family. I have two sons of my own, Landon and Jaydan. They are in 4th grade and Kindergarten. They keep me on my toes.

A cool fact about me is from kindergarten to my senior year in high school, I stayed in the same district. Then I went to college at Arizona State University. I started my college career as an Earth and Space Exploration major. I also worked as a tutor which is what made me change my major to Elementary Education. I fell in love with the “a-ha” moments I saw in students after they could understand something they were struggling with. After I graduated in December, I went to work for the Mesa Public School District as a substitute teacher. Then, in May, I was hired on as a full-time teacher in 5th grade at Whitter Elementary.

I was so blessed to have attended ASU because they have one of the best known teacher preparation programs called iTeachAZ. While completing the iTeach program, I was able to complete two internships, one in a 5th grade classroom and another in a 1st grade classroom. I also was able to complete an entire year of student teaching as well. I student taught in a 2nd grade classroom from January to December, so I was able to come into a already “put-together” classroom and also start a whole new school year with a different group of students. Even subbing, I felt that also helped me solidify my own choices in grade level. I feel more than prepared to what this year has to bring. Don’t get me wrong, I am still learning as well.

Please feel free to explore my website on here. I ask that it is looked at with caution as I am still trying to find time to perfect it and work on it as well. I will add information as it comes.
