I love being a teacher! When I was in  elementary school, my P.E. teacher used to call me out of class to help him with the younger students. As a teenager, I worked as a lifeguard and swim teacher every summer. It seemed only natural to leave Illinois after high school and attend ASU in order to become a certified teacher. Being in Arizona I could participate in outdoor sports all year long!

Upon graduating from ASU, I taught Physical Education for 16 years at various Mesa Schools. I earned my Master's Degree in Elementary Education from NAU and made the transfer from P.E. to the classroom in 1997. I have taught 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th grade!. My goal each year is to make learning fun while still pushing students to meet high expectations. Go Wilson Wildcats!

This is my wonderful family! (Stephanie, Tim, John, Kyle, and Katie) The oldest three are all teachers. Tim is currently teaching at a high school in Kuwait, Stephie is at the Junior High in Cottonwood, and Katie is starting her second year at Holmes Elementary in Mesa. Kyle is finishing his final semester at Benedictine University, and will then pursue a career in law enforcement. Love our T -Team!!
