I am a native of Arizona, grew up in Phoenix and graduated from West High School. I lived in the same home until I was 21, at which time my father thought that I should experience what it was like to live on my own! It was quite and eye opener.
I moved clear out to Mesa when I got married. I think at that time the freeway went all the way to Dobson. My mother was not happy with my husband, I was the first of 5 children to move sooooo far from home! She eventually got over it.
Before I had my son, Dustin, I worked at Good Samaritan Medical Center in the Rehab Department. At the time I left Good Sam to raise my son, I was the Administrative Assistant to the Rehab Director.
Dustin went to Booker T. Washington Elementary School where I started volunteering in the classroom. I was there so much that I decided to apply for part-time work. They started me out on the playground and cafeteria, which I loved. One thing lead to another and here I am the Family Support Specialist.
I love being at Wilson with all of the wonderful children, families and staff!
