Mrs. Jill Purcell
I hope this helps you get to know me a little bit better. I am from Tucson, and I graduated from the U of A. I started teaching kindergarten in Nogales, Arizona. It was a great experience to teach 30 non-English speaking students! After one year in Nogales, I moved to Phoenix, where my husband got a job. I taught kindergarten in the Madison School District for five years. After I had my first child, I was fortunate to get a job share position. I did this for six years, where I taught non-English speaking children in grades K-4. During this time, I obtained my Master's degree in Elementary Education from Arizona State University.
Two children later, I decided to stay home and focus on my young family. After staying home for seven years, to be with my three children, I was ready to get back to teaching by subbing at my children's school, Las Sendas. I got hooked, took over a position, and have been in the Mesa School District ever since.
I look forward to the year ahead!
