In 4th Grade, we get to study about our wonderful state. We learn about Arizona's native inhabitants, early settlers, mountain men, and modern-day pioneers. We'll create time lines and do fun projects that bring Arizona's fascinating history to life. It's going to be so interesting!
The students record their learning and get basic instruction on the process of notetaking by creating interactive notebooks for this subject. The notebooks include definitions of key vocabulary terms, questions and answers about important events in Arizona's history, and special glue in activities that have been created to enhance their learning experience.
When our curriculum is paired with inquiry-based instruction, Social Studies becomes an interesting subject where the students gain an appreciation for all that has occurred to make our state such a wonderful place to live!
