Mrs. Susan Crandall (a.k.a. Miss Stott)

This is my 18th year teaching and I can't think of a job I would love more!  I love learning and growing right along with my students.  After really grappling with a tough topic or idea, I love watching the proverbial light bulb blink on as understanding comes.  I love seeing students form opinions and share thoughts in ways that others can understand what they are saying.  Sixth graders are amazing!

I am married to an amazing man.  We just celebrated our fourth anniversary.  I am also a step-mom to four amazing kids!  We have a daughter working on her masters at ASU, a son serving a two year church mission in Argentina, a son who is a junior in high school, and a son in fourth grade.  We are one busy household.

In my "spare" time I love to spend time with my family, read, go to movies, craft, and play games.  I also love to bake all sorts of goodies.

Zaharis has been my home away from home since it opened its doors.  In Zaharis's 16th year, I feel so lucky to be here and to teach in a place that allows so much creativity and inquiry.  It is going to be a fantastic year!
