School celebrations continue
Schools continue to recognize decades of educational excellence by hosting anniversary celebrations. Upcoming events include:
- March 3, 2:30 p.m. — Lowell Elementary's 65th anniversary celebration
- March 3, 5:30 p.m. — Edison Elementary's 65th anniversary celebration
- March 18, 6 p.m. — Porter Elementary's 30th anniversary celebration
- March 25, 4:30 p.m — Zaharis Elementary's 20th anniversary celebration

Cook with the Fare Maven from the comfort of your home to celebrate National Nutrition Month. Fare Maven brings you four sessions to cook alongside her to make simple, delicious and healthy meals. The sessions take place on Zoom from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Make it a family activity, invite friends, or use it as "me" time. Register online and save your spot.

Mobile Onsite Mammography (M.O.M.) — Preventive screenings will be held across the district March 14-18. Female employees and female spouses of employees over 40 are eligible. To schedule an appointment, call 480-967-3767. View the schedule.
Know your numbers — Free confidential biometric screenings will be held across the district. Learn your numbers and earn 100 points toward the wellness incentive program. Find more details on the wellness webpage.
Join the 8th annual RUN3rd5k at Red Mountain High School on April 2. Save $5 with coupon code MPS. Learn more and register. Prefer to volunteer? Learn more about individual and team opportunities to support this event, which raises money for after-school running programs.
Form 1095-C statements are now available
Form 1095-C, the employer-provided health insurance offer and coverage statement, has been mailed to eligible employees' homes. The form is also available to download on the benefits online enrollment system, accessed via the benefits webpage. Log in with your active directory user and password. Select Enroll Now, then under My Documents, select Tax Documents. You may see more than one statement on your portal. Be sure to download the most recent version. You are not required to submit the form to the IRS, but it may be helpful when filing your taxes. If you have additional questions about Form 1095-C or your taxes, visit the IRS website.

Cue the applause
The district recently received awards from the Wellness Council of Arizona for its wellness program, Take Steps for Wellness. The district won the Process, Progress & Leadership award for improved health metrics, reduced risk factors and decreasing the rising costs of care. The district also received the Employer Resiliency Recognition award for supporting not only employees, but also employees' families and communities through this past year, going the extra mile to respond to employee and community needs.
