Become an Art Masterpiece guide.
Would you like to volunteer in the classroom? No experience necessary, we’ll teach you how!
What is Art Masterpiece?
Art Masterpiece is an interactive art appreciation program whose objective is to guide the students in a discussion of great works of art. The goal is to help students look, talk, and critically think about great masterpieces of art.
How does it work?
Trained guides lead 15-20 minute discussions about well-known works of art in assigned classrooms every two weeks from January through May. The art reproductions used in this program represent a variety of artists and periods of art.
What do I need to do to become a guide?
Guides must attend two district training classes that feature knowledgeable speakers who provide needed background information and ideas for successful classroom presentations. Classes are offered in the morning or evening.
Both classes are mandatory.
All training classes are taught in English and all classroom discussions will be in English.
Please leave babies and small children at home.
All classes are held at:
