Welcome to the Mesa Public Schools Assessment Department webpage. Our schools assess major learning outcomes through a variety of assessment measures, including teacher-designed assessments, district-designed end-of-semester/year criterion-reference tests, and state-mandated assessments.

District and state testing programs have been developed to provide academic feedback to students, teachers, administrators, and parents for making decisions related to teaching and learning. Our testing program provides teachers with the next steps for instructional planning and student learning. Student results inform what standards/content students need more time or additional practice. Test results are only one source of information on what students have learned, but they are important indicators of student academic achievement.
