I am excited to be returning for my second year at Mesa High School! I am one of the three speech-language pathologists (SLPs) who serve MHS students. We can all be found downstairs in room 8.
I earned bachelor degrees in Spanish and Communication Sciences from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. After that, I attended the University of Arizona to complete my masters degree in Speech-Language and Hearing Sciences. Since that time, I received a graduate certificate from Northern Arizona University in Assistive Technology and spent a summer in Quito, Ecuador completing a bilingual speech-language pathology program.
For the past 10 years, I have been working as an SLP in the East Valley, and for the past 3 years, I have served as the Community Relations Chair for the Arizona Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ArSHA). I have also worked as a bilingual augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) device trainer. I have a passion for AAC and love to work with families and teachers to make sure every student has access to communication.
If you are searching for resources related to speech-language intervention or special education, you can send me a message or check out the district website. Students, if you have any questions or need extra assistance, you can always send me an email or stop by room 8 on Mondays during 1st period or Wednesdays during 4th period.
