The instruction provided in the ABE classes is geared to students with reading assessment scores below the sixth grade level. The classes include activities and lessons in the following subject areas: writing, reading, social studies, science and mathematics. In addition, instruction and activities are designed to promote job readiness. The enrollment is kept lower to allow the teacher more opportunity to work one-on-one with students. Students may be referred to this class from another adult education class. Students must attend registration prior to enrolling in an ABE class.
