Mandatory McKinney-Vento training for all staff

Student homelessness continues to grow in Arizona and across the country. According to SchoolHouse Connection, "The COVID-19 outbreak and resulting economic crisis have pushed more youth into homelessness, and at the same time, exacerbated the challenges of youth who were homeless prior to the outbreak."

All district staff members are required to watch a five-minute video to better understand the following:

1. The U.S. Department of Education's definition of student homelessness
2. Signs that a student may be homeless
3. Employee reporting procedure
