Students must turn 5 before September 1 to register for Kindergarten.

Grade-level placement is based on age regardless of home-schooling level.


Step 1: 

Children who are 6 years of age or older must be registered with the county as a homeschool student. It may take a few days to obtain this Affidavit of Intent to Homeschool, so we strongly recommend you begin by filing your notarized form with the county in which you reside. Email us a copy of the approved Affidavit of Intent to Homeschool (for students aged 6+) to

  • If your child is 5, please note that this document will be required within 2 weeks of your child’s 6th birthday.
  • An affidavit is not required if your child is a recipient of ESA. 
  • If you are seeking ESA approval, please contact us for further guidance.


Step 2: 

Complete the online registration process at

There are three options to choose from to begin the registration process:

  • New Parent registration (brand-new to Mesa)
  • Current Parent registration (already have student in Mesa)
  • Returning Parent registration (previously had student in Mesa)

You will be asked to upload the following required documents during this online registration process:

  • Birth Certificate
  • Proof of Residency
  • Immunization Record

While you do have the option of emailing or hand-delivering these documents, uploading them during online registration will expedite the enrollment process for your child.

Step 3: 

Once we have processed your online registration we will call you to let you know how to begin the class selection process.


Immunization Information

  • Complete immunization records OR completion of the State of Arizona's Immunization Education course is required for each student enrolled with Mesa Public Schools. Here is a link to the immunization course information:


Empowerment Scholarship Account (ESA)

  • If your child is a recipient of the Empowerment Scholarship Account (ESA) let us know at the time of registration so that we code your child's account properly and your ESA funds are not suspended.

  • If your child is already attending Eagleridge and you are seeking ESA approval, you must submit a signed copy of the Eagleridge ESA Guidelines and tuition rates via email at and we can code your child as an ESA student. We will also need a copy of your signed ESA contract upon receipt.
