Note: YouTube is constantly updating its user interface, changing the way you will access some of its features. If any of the tutorials/videos on this page do not match the interface in your YouTube account, please go to the YouTube Help Center for the most up-to-date information about YouTube. Also, MPS users currently do not have the ability to upload videos to their YouTube accounts. We suggest you use Canvas Studio to host videos and make the links public so that others can see them.

YouTube has become an invaluable resource for teachers and students since its inception a decade ago. YouTube, which is owned by Google, is now the second largest search engine in the world, with hundreds of millions of hours of video viewed every day on the website and 300 hours of video uploaded every minute to the site. Mesa Public Schools teachers and students have access to YouTube, and teachers have their own YouTube account, allowing them to subscribe to educational YouTube channels, and to create educational playlists for their students.

Eliminate Distractions on YouTube

Want a quick and safe way to share a YouTube video link with students? Simply add a “-” after the “t” in YouTube in the URL...the new link will open full screen with no ads/comments/suggested videos! Here is an example: https://www.yout-ube.com/watch?v=b1gnPw0cqRI
