Franklin Jr. High Application Process

Franklin Junior High is an nationally recognized application school for 7th and 8th grade students that provides a rigorous curriculum while supporting their social emotional needs. Students inquiring about attending must complete the application and submit all documents by January 31, 2021. Applications must be submitted by this date to be considered in the initial application review process.  All applicants who submit an application after this date will be placed on our waiting list, and will be considered for enrollment in the future should a seat become available.  Incomplete applications can not be processed.

  • AZM2 scores(FJH math placement test for 2021-2022)
  • Letter of Support(to be completed by current teacher)
  • Most recent grade report card
  • Completed application packet

2018 National Blue Ribbon School

U.S. Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos today recognized Franklin Jr. High as one of 349 National Blue Ribbon Schools for 2018. The recognition is based on a school's overall academic performance or progress in closing achievement gaps among student subgroups.

"I'm pleased to celebrate with you as your school is named a National Blue Ribbon School," said U.S. Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos in a video message to the honorees. "We recognize and honor your important work in preparing students for successful careers and meaningful lives. Congratulations on your students' accomplishments and for your extraordinary commitment to meeting their unique needs."

The coveted National Blue Ribbon Schools award affirms the hard work of educators, families and communities in creating safe and welcoming schools where students master challenging and engaging content.

 

Robotics Team State Champions

The Franklin Jr. High Robotics team was named 2019 state champions in Core Values on January 19th.  The First Lego League describes "Core Values as the the cornerstones of the program. They are among the fundamental elements that distinguish FIRST LEGO League from other programs of its kind. By embracing the Core Values, participants learn that friendly competition and mutual gain are not separate goals, and that helping one another is the foundation of teamwork."  Congratulations Firebirds!!
