Mrs. Sharilyn Larsen
Welcome to Mrs. Larsen's page. I have been an elementary educator with Mesa Public Schools for over 20 years. I taught 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 5th grades at Hughes Elementary for over 20 years. Before teaching at Hughes Elementary I taught third grade at Roosevelt Elementary for one year. I also worked previously as a site-based substitute for Longfellow Elementary and then did my elementary student teaching at Longfellow. I student taught at Dobson High School (1985) and taught in Utah. I coached and taught classes for the City of Mesa for 15 years. I am certified to teach grades K-12. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Dance Performance/Choreography and Secondary Education from ASU. I have a Master's Degree in Elementary Education from NAU. I have an English as Second Language Endorsement, Early childhood Endorsement, a Reading Endorsement and currently working on a Gifted/Talented Endorsement.
I am currently a Gifted/Talented educator working with 5 schools (Porter, Hughes, Lowell, Irving and Salk) as an on campus support GT teacher.
