Biography

I am thrilled to have joined the amazing team at Irving this year.  I previously taught in Mesa as a Specific Learning Disability Teacher.  I now have the honor of being the Kindergarten, First, and Second Grade Mild Intellectual Disability Inclusion Teacher here at Irving.  I attended the Chandler Unified School District from Kindergarten all the way to senior year.  I graduated from Arizona State University with a Bachelors in Elementary Education and Special Education.  I hope to get my masters in the near future to further my education.

Education has been a passion of mine since I was in first grade, and this passion continued to grow.  I always had teachers in my life that made an ever-lasting impression on me.  I believe that all kids are capable of amazing things and I love to be a part of their success.  Being a Special Education Teacher allows me to see their growth in development over multiple years.  I always strive to have a classroom environment that promotes safety, learning, growth, and a passion for learning.

I have two children of my own, one of which attends a Mesa Public School.  I recently got married in 2017.  We have four dogs and a tortoise.  In our free time we love to go to the movies or play outside.
