Biography

The year 2021-2022 will mark my 11th year in education and 5th year in Mesa. I taught 6th grade for six years and 5th grade for four years. This will be my 1st year as a Title 1 Specialist. I am an ASU Sun Devil where I earned my Bachelors degree in Elementary Education and my Masters degree in Administration and Leadership. I am a native to Arizona but have lived in many other states growing up. It taught me to explore and enjoy what other places have to offer.

My husband and I have four amazing children. Our oldest son, Justin, is going into his senior year in high school. He is a track star and cross country runner. He came in 3rd place in state competition in cross country and 2nd and 3rd place in track running the 2-mile, 1-mile and half-mile. Our middle son, Casey, is going into his sophomore year in high school. He plays center on his football team and starting 3rd baseman on his baseball team. He loves his video games! Our middle son, Nolan, is going into 8th grade. He is a smart kid that can tell you anything you need to know about WWE. He enjoys playing football and swimming. He loves talking and giving fun facts about sports. Our daughter, Addy, is going into 3rd grade and is our only girl!! She loves dancing, singing, and reading. She is my mini-me and loves to help cook dinner and does everything I do. We have a "puppy" that is 11 years old and three turtles.

We love traveling to new places and learning the history of that area. We focus a lot of our trips based on food and explorations. I love family gatherings and playing volleyball. I enjoy playing any activities with my children and students. I have always enjoyed a good book and solving problems like a detective.

Teaching is a passion of mine along with learning new concepts and skills. I enjoy learning from and motivating other educators. My goal is to guide educators to be their best self. I am looking forward to working with the staff, students, and community members this next year.
