HOW CAN YOU HELP?
Donating Items to Kino: Students have benefited from the generous donations of parents and community members who contribute items that range from boxes of tissues to back packs, bike helmets and school supplies. Please contact our Family Support Specialist if you have items you would like to donate.
Donating Money to Kino: Mesa Public Schools appreciates donations to individual schools, programs and to the district. One method of giving is through the Arizona state tax credit to schools, known in the district as the Extracurricular Activity (ECA) program. Parents, grandparents, and caring community members make a contribution and earn a tax credit on the Arizona state income tax. Kino puts it's ECA contributions to good use. Please click on the link above to see how you can donate through the ECA program.

Donations directly impact and benefit Kino Students
In past years parents and community members have donated money to Kino Junior High School in the form of a tax credit called the ECA fund, otherwise known as Extracurricular Activities. ECA monies may only be used at Kino and may not replace or supplant anything the district already pays for to reach regular curriculum goals.

ECA support strengthens Kino's Community
Highly engaging and quality activities at Kino Junior High including fine arts, clubs and athletics are expensive to provide. Without the community's generous donations to Kino's ECA accounts, programs like this would not be able to be supported. Two-thirds of the students are involved in a variety of club activities or athletics. A mountain of research continuously tells us that high student involvement in extracurricular activities is the strongest signal of a healthy junior high school environment. With your continued support Kino will continue to offer the activities that strengthen our school community.
