A Little About Me:

It is hard to believe that I am in my 16th year as a teacher (15 years at Madison)!  I retired from the corporate world after 25 years. Throughout those years, I was an active parent volunteer at my children’s schools (including Madison) which rekindled my passion to teach.  So, I returned to college and earned a Master’s Degree in Special Education.  Teaching is a childhood dream come true!

I am almost a native of Arizona.  I was born in Nebraska and moved to Arizona when I was three years old.  I am the mom of three grown sons and have three beautiful grandchildren (so far).  In addition to teaching, my husband and I own a business.

My Mission:

My experiences have taught me that all children can learn, but each learns in a different way and at different rates.  I know that with hard work and perseverance we can touch each child in a special way.  My mission is to teach, inspire, encourage, instill a love of learning, ignite the imagination, recognize the potential that every student has, accept their differences and celebrate their uniqueness.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to send in a note with your child, email or call my direct line. During the school day you will get my voicemail. Please leave a message and I will return your call as soon as possible.  If it is an emergency, please call the office at 480.472.8800.
