Mesa High Summer School

Dates:

Session 1: June 1-18 
Session 2: June 21 - July 9 *No school on July 5

Times:

AM: 7:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

PM: 12:30 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Transportation will be provided by district along with breakfast and lunch.

Students may sign up for 1-4 sessions.  (Session 1, Session 2 or both as well as AM, PM or both)  *If your child failed more than 1 class, please plan on attending multiple sessions.

There will be both in-person and online credit recovery classes provided.  

Spots will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.  Your child will be notified, by email, in May whether he/she received Session 1, 2 or both as well as what times they received.  They will also be notified if they received an in-person or gradpoint class.  

Attendance Policy

In-person class: Each day of summer school is equivalent to 5 days of regular school (= 5 absences if missed).  The total number of hours allowed to miss for each session of summer school is 10.  After 10 hours absent, the student will be dropped from our free Mesa High Summer School.  No appeals will be accepted.

Gradpoint: Gradpoint is a self-paced, online program.  Students enrolled in gradpoint for the summer will receive an email from Ms. Landers prior to the start of their session.  You are encouraged to work on the program from home but must log in within the first 48 hours and continue working daily.  Students who do not log in regularly will be required to attend weekly labs on campus.  Additionally, students who wish to attend a lab for a safe, quiet place to access the internet may sign up using a link provided by Mrs. Landers in the instructional email.
