Tier 2 Student Supports are comprised of additional support resources for groups of students based on their academic and social-emotional needs. These resources contain programs designed to meet more specific needs of students through research-based practice.

The AVID Elective Class

The AVID Elective is the core of AVID Secondary. It targets students in the academic middle with the desire to go to college and the willingness to work hard. Often, AVID Elective students will be the first in their families to attend college, and come from groups traditionally underrepresented in higher education.avid logo
