I received my Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Northwestern University and have been teaching for 15 years.
I believe that all students can learn and make progress. Every student is an individual and has a unique learning style. Although I have always wanted to be a teacher, I became a Special Education Teacher because of the struggles my special needs sons endured when they were in elementary school. I believe parental support is a necessity for students to develop the motivation to achieve their highest potential.
Policies and Procedures
Students are expected to follow the school rules and use the Character Traits every day. Homework is given by the students' homeroom teacher. Grading is given in collaboration with myself and the homeroom teacher, as well as monitoring progress on IEP goals.
I have students in 2nd and 3rd grade with varying schedules throughout the day. Students participate in all non-academic classes, lunch, field trips and assemblies with their homeroom class.
