Performing at the 2017 Arizona Music Educators State In-Service Conference!

Mrs. Bock has a BA in Music Education (Magna Cum Laude) from Montclair State University in New Jersey. She has served as the chair for the AMEA 7th grade All-State Band, secretary of ABODA and was a co-conductor for the Sonic Youth Ensemble.   She has also served as both Secretary and Vice President of Elementary and Middle School Activities for the Arizona Band and Orchestra Director's Association (ABODA).  In demand as a guest clinician, Jenn had the honor of guest conducting the White Mountain Region Junior High School Honor Band and the conductor of the 2012 MPS District Elementary Honor Band.  Mrs. Bock also presented a session at the 2014 AMEA State Conference entitled "A Focus on FUNdamentals for Young Band."  She is currently the chair for Poston's Performing Arts Department and is working towards receiving her Masters in Music Education (M.M.Ed) from Arizona State University.

 

Jenn Bock lives in Mesa with her husband Matt who works for Music & Arts Center, plays tuba with the Tempe Winds and conducts the band at Paradise Valley Community College. They love spending time with their adorable little Lhasa Apso puppy, Lady.  Mrs. Bock loves hiking, doing yoga, cooking and baking, and making jewelry whenever she can scratch out a spare minute!

Mrs. Bock was named a KTVK3 (Channel 3 News) Silver Apple Award Teacher in January 2014.  She received $500 to spend in her classroom and purchased SmartMusic software, Finale music writing software, and a used clarinet for the band.
